Fibromyalgia, Negative Emotions, Pain and Sound Therapy

A few years ago I was teaching a class on tuning forks. After the class two women told me that the pain from their fibromyalgia was completely gone. This caught me by surprise because I had never tried tuning forks or any type of sound therapy with someone experiencing fibromyalgia. I spoke to both women a few days later and they told me that their pain had come back but they were really grateful that they had some relief.

I was reminded of this from an article I read which showed that woman experienced higher pain levels when they were feeling anger and sadness. Dr. Henriet van Middendorp said that this was particularly important for women with fibromyalgia because they experience negative emotions more often than women without. She said this is to be expected with someone with chronic pain.

There is no known cure for fibromyalgia but it is clearly very painful. Based on feedback from the two women I mentioned and others I have worked with, sound therapy may give you some temporary relief. Your approach should be two-fold, the Otto 128 weighted tuning fork and the Solar Harmonic tuning fork set. The Otto 128 to address the physical pain and Solar Harmonic to help you to relax and clear away any uncomfortable emotions or feelings.

Tap and place the Otto 128 on the sole your foot. Work all the way up your body touching each joint group (ankles, hips, shoulders, elbows, wrists, neck). Also touch muscle or nerve groups (an anatomy book will help you find these but there is a major nerve group, ganglion impar, located at the lower back area). Find someone to tap and place the Otto 128 along your spine, from your pelvis to the base of your skull.

Next, find a comfortable place to sit and work with the Solar Harmonic tuning forks for about 15 minutes or more. Feel free to download a free white paper on how to use the Solar Harmonic Tuning Forks.
