Tuning Fork Primer

There are two types of popular tuning forks; weighted and unweighted. The weighted tuning forks are typically used on the body as well as by the ears to relieve pain from inflammation such as arthritis and other joint, muscle and nerve pain. These are the ones with the weights on the end of each prong.

The unweighted forks are used by the ears and around the body for balancing the nervous and energy systems and can assist with emotional, spiritual, physical and mental health and awareness.

Why Quality is Important

Our forks was recently tested 30 years after it was made. It still held the correct frequency.

Tuning forks are based on frequency. If the quality of the aluminum is poor or the manufacturing process is lax, then the frequency will not be accurate and the fork will not be harmonic (ie. have a clear, long lasting tone).

Our aluminum tuning forks are of the highest quality. They are made from impact resistance aluminum making them approximately 26% harder and giving them a ring time up to 20% longer than other manufacturers.

We have lower levels of impurities with the highest rating for surface finish per the Reynolds Aluminum Engineering Study. As are result, our material is more immune to corrosion and pitting.

All of our forks are tuned to within .5% of the indicated frequency at 20 degrees Celsius, 68 degrees Fahrenheit. Other manufacturers tune to as high as 2.5%.

All tuning forks are subject to at least three inspection processes to eliminate imperfections.

All of our tuning forks are manufactured especially for sound therapy and health care professionals.

In most cases we offer same day ground shipping for tuning forks. Tuning Forks are usually delivered within 5 days in the USA, 7 days to Canada and 10-14 days everywhere else.

How We Ship

Shipping to the United States

We offer free shipping for all orders over $75.

Shipping for tuning forks, didgeridoos and wind chimes is usually between $5-$20 and is based on weight and distance from Santa Monica, CA. Shipping for Gongs and Crystal Singing Bowls start at $30 and increases depending upon the size and quantity of your order. Crystal Singing Bowls, Gongs and Didgeridoos are shipped via UPS Ground fully insured, you bear no responsibility if your order is damaged in transit. A less expenive postal service shipping is available for tuning forks, books and CDs. The post office has been proven to be reliable however their tracking system is not as good as UPS'.

Shipping Outside the United States

Crystal Singing Bowls, Gongs and Didgeridoos are shipped via UPS fully insured, you bear no responsibility if the order is damaged in transit. All other products are shipped via the US Postal Service, priority mail.

We try to give you an estimated if not exact shipping quote with each product but we are not always able to give an exact quote for the larger more fragile products. If this occurs, we will contact you with additional charges, if any, before your order is processed.

Where's my stuff

Most products ship within 24 hours. The exception is crystal singing bowls and gongs which may take up to 4 days to ship due to the preparation and care given to ensure your order arrives safely. If you need faster shipping, please call or email us.

When your order ships we will email you a confirmation and tracking number so that you can follow your order online. Alternatively, you can watch grass grow or paint dry.

Returns are Easy

Just call us at 877.895.6609 in the USA or Canada or 1+339.933.0380 elsewhere, let us know what you want to return, we give you the return address and it is done!

Our manufacturers determine the policy for returns

For Crystal Bowls, Crystal Tuning Forks and Carrying Cases we can offer exchanges only within 30 days of delivery. The product must be in original condition.

For Tuning Forks we can refund within 15 days of delivery. After 15 days, exchanges only will be accepted. The product must be in original condition. Specialty frequenices are cannot be returned.

CDs, Books & DVDs may be returned if they are unopened within 30 days of delivery for a refund or exchange. Exchanges only on damaged or defective items within 30 days of delivery.

Omnivos does not refund shipping charges nor can we accept returns or exchanges on special orders. In some cases, additional shipping charges may apply for exchanges. Some manufacturers may also charge a restocking fee ranging from 10%-20%. Contact us if you have questions on shipping or restocking fees for a specific product.
