There are two types of crystal singing bowls, the Classic Frosted and Alchemy.

  • They are the least expensive bowls and a great entry point for those just getting started or not sure if singing bowls are right for them

How bowl size is determined

How A Singing Bowl Size is Determined

Crystal singing bowls are made from the same a mold but no 2 bowls ever turn out the same. A rose quartz bowl made in a 7" mold may cool differently than a moldavite. As a bowl cools, it contracts but how much it contracts is specific to the bowl. For this reason, a 7" bowl will most likely not measure exactly 7", it may be a little less or a little more.

Crystal Tones measures each bowl. If it is greater than 1/4" from the whole size, it is marked as the next size larger. For example, if a bowl is between 6 1/4" and 7", will be sold as a 7". A 6 1/8" bowl is sold as a 6". This might sound a little odd but it is the only way to ensure consistency and a pricing structure easy to follow. You really don't need to understand all this to understand the importance of the golden mean and how it relates to you. The golden mean spiral is the connection between our physical body and energy. The spiral has no beginning or end but the spiral does get smaller as you get further from the physical and closer to energy. Getting closer to energy is referred to as moving between dimensions. What Does a Golden Mean Bowl Look Like?

The Golden Mean Crystal Singing Bowl is not cylindrical but wider at the top so the base may be 6" but the top may be 7". The result is a tone which spirals out from the top of the singing bowl, like the Golden Mean spiral.

Is this Waterford Crystal?

Is this like Waterford Crystal?

No. It may actually be better quality. Crystal Singing Bowls are made to sound perfect but may not always look like that perfect Waterford bowl. Sometimes the colors are a little darker or lighter than what you will see in the pictures throughout this store.

Sometimes a bowl will have inclusions or what may appear to be an imperfection as a result of the firing process. Not to worry, this is normal. This is the nature of the singing bowl and these may be visible in clear bowls but will usually be hidden in the Classic Frosted because of their milky appearance. Inclusions and bubbles in no way affect the performace of the bowl.

Each bowl is tested many times to ensure that the tone, resonance and harmonics are the best possible quality. That is what really matters. The last test takes place just before it is boxed and shipped to you.

Mallets and O Rings

Mallets and O Rings

Every singing bowl comes with an O Ring, mallet and instructions on how to care for your bowl.

An O ring is placed underneath the bowl to keep it from moving as you play.

Classic Frosted Singing bowls between 6"-12"come with a suede mallet. Bowls larger than 12" come with a rubber mallet. A rubber mallet is better for the larger bowls because larger bowls require more pressure to play. Rubber mallets on a smaller bowl do not work because the rubber mallet requires a lot of pressure to play which could push the bowl over. Suede mallets wear out very quickly on the larger bowl.

Alchemy singing bowls only come with suede mallets because they are easier to play.

How We Ship

Shipping to the United States

We offer free shipping for all orders over $75.

Shipping for tuning forks, didgeridoos and wind chimes is usually between $5-$20 and is based on weight and distance from Santa Monica, CA. Shipping for Gongs and Crystal Singing Bowls start at $30 and increases depending upon the size and quantity of your order. Crystal Singing Bowls, Gongs and Didgeridoos are shipped via UPS Ground fully insured, you bear no responsibility if your order is damaged in transit. A less expenive postal service shipping is available for tuning forks, books and CDs. The post office has been proven to be reliable however their tracking system is not as good as UPS'.

Shipping Outside the United States

Crystal Singing Bowls, Gongs and Didgeridoos are shipped via UPS fully insured, you bear no responsibility if the order is damaged in transit. All other products are shipped via the US Postal Service, priority mail.

We try to give you an estimated if not exact shipping quote with each product but we are not always able to give an exact quote for the larger more fragile products. If this occurs, we will contact you with additional charges, if any, before your order is processed.

If you would like to confirm shipping costs before placing your order, please email us with your country, city and postal code along with the items you'd like to order.

Where's my stuff

Most products ship within 24 hours. The exception is crystal singing bowls and gongs which may take up to 4 days to ship due to the preparation and care given to ensure your order arrives safely. If you need faster shipping, please call or email us.

When your order ships we will email you a confirmation and tracking number so that you can follow your order online. Alternatively, you can watch grass grow or paint dry.

Returns are Easy

Just call us at 877.895.6609 in the USA or Canada or 1+339.933.0380 elsewhere, let us know what you want to return, we give you the return address and it is done!

Our manufacturers determine the policy for returns

For Crystal Bowls, Crystal Tuning Forks and Carrying Cases we can offer exchanges only within 30 days of delivery. The product must be in original condition.

For Tuning Forks we can refund within 15 days of delivery. After 15 days, exchanges only will be accepted. The product must be in original condition. Specialty frequenices are cannot be returned.

CDs, Books & DVDs may be returned if they are unopened within 30 days of delivery for a refund or exchange. Exchanges only on damaged or defective items within 30 days of delivery.

Omnivos does not refund shipping charges nor can we accept returns or exchanges on special orders. In some cases, additional shipping charges may apply for exchanges. Some manufacturers may also charge a restocking fee ranging from 10%-20%. Contact us if you have questions on shipping or restocking fees for a specific product.
